Venezuela's medal table in the South American Senior
Athletics Championship was inaugurated with Rosa Rodríguez, who
won a gold medal in the hammer throw with an attempt of 71.04 meters.

In other disciplines, sprinters Javier Gómez and Kelvis
Padrino qualified for the final of the 400 meters flat. In addition, the
distance runner Sebastián López ranked tenth of the 1,500 flat meters.
While Las Brea's older sister, Joselyn, finished
sixth in her respective test with four minutes, 32 seconds, 43 tenths.
In the Triple Jump, Leodan Torrealba won the
bronze medal when flying 16.22 meters away. As for the decathlon, Venezuela
will be present in the final of the 400 meters for men. José Maita, current Pan American
champion, and Ryan López, will see action in the 800 meters and the
men's pole of the 4×100.
Genesis Romero will represent the country in the 100 meters hurdles and in the heptathlon. María Rojas and Ottaynis Febres will compete to qualify for the 2025 Junior Pan American Games. The first one will do it in the 800 meters, while Rojas, on the other hand, will do it in the discus throw.
