Venezuela is preparing to conquer the Guinness Record for the biggest marching band in the world

Nine marching bands from different states participated last Saturday in a rehearsal held on Paseo Los Próceres in Caracas, as part of the preparation for the attempt to establish the Guinness Record for the largest marching band in the world.

According to information from the Ministry for Culture, the initiative plans to bring together more than 18,000 young people on November 29, with the participation of schools, communities and universities from all over the country, to surpass the current mark of 12,269 members, established by Japan.

The day was accompanied by the Minister for Culture, Alejandro López, and the Minister of Youth, Sergio Lotartaro, who reported that tests will be carried out in the 24 states, Capital District and federal agencies to select the participants.

According to the president of the National Federation of Marching Bands of Venezuela, Manuel Rosas, the call includes the participation of 332 band institutions, with the support of different sectors and institutions in the country.

The national band movement will continue with preparations for the day of November 29, when it will seek to achieve the new world record.
