Venezuela is present at the 50th Anniversary of Suriname's Independence

The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, reported that this Monday, November 24, he participated in the reception in Paramaribo as part of the commemoration for the 50th Anniversary of Suriname's Independence.

In his account on the social network Telegram, Gil stated that “on behalf of President Nicolás Maduro, we have had the privilege of accompanying the president of Suriname, Jennifer Geerlings-Simons, in an emotional reception as part of the commemoration in Paramaribo for the 50th anniversary of Suriname's Independence”.

“This significant event marks the beginning of a new phase of renewed sovereignty and progress for the Surinamese people, as well as the strengthening of cooperation and friendship between our sister peoples,” he emphasized.
