Venezuela, with 10
gold, 5 silver and 6 bronze medals, leads the medal table at the 2025 Central American and Caribbean
School Sports Games, after an outstanding performance by the Creole delegation on its first day
.
In the
Taekwondo discipline, Poomsae modality, Venezuelans scored 2 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze.
In athletics, the Criollos
won 2 gold (in the men's 1500 meter event and men's long jump) and one bronze (women's 500 g javelin throw
).
Meanwhile, in swimming, there
were 6 gold (400 meters freestyle, 200 meters chest, 100 meters butterfly, 200 meters butterfly, 4x200 meters
freestyle and 4x100 meters freestyle), 2 silver (400 meters freestyle and 100 meters butterfly) and 4 bronze (200
meters freestyle, 50 meters chest, 50 meters back and 100 meters back).
The host team
is in second place with 6 gold, 7 silver and 6 bronze medals.
While the third is occupied by Panama with 3 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze.
