Venezuela participated in the 25th International Trade and Investment Fair in China

The Venezuelan delegation, led by the Minister of the People's Power of Foreign Trade, Coromoto Godoy Calderón, and composed of the Deputy Minister of International Trade Policy, Johann Álvarez, participated in the 25th International Investment and Trade Fair (CIFIT), held in Xiamen, China, between September 8 and 11.

“This was a space to continue promoting trade and investment between China and Venezuela, strategic partners and sister peoples. This scenario of multipolarity opens the way to the community of shared destiny,” said the minister, who, within the framework of the agenda, held a meeting with His Excellency Mr. Hong Guoping, secretary of the CPC and president of the Tongan district, hosted in Xiamen.

The CIFIT constituted a high-level platform for consolidating new strategic alliances, acting as a bridge between Chinese capital and business and investment opportunities in the rest of the world. It also represented an opportunity to connect with the most populated market on the planet and with investors interested in expanding abroad.

In this edition, Venezuela reaffirmed and strengthened the All-Time and Trial Strategic Alliance with China, demonstrating that, in the midst of global tensions and trade war, a new world based on cooperation and mutual respect is taking hold.

Organized by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, the fair was held for the first time in 1997 and since then it has become a global reference for promoting investment and facilitating global economic development.
