Venezuela participated in the CELAC Interactive Dialogue for a United Latin America

The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Félix Plasencia, reported that this Monday, August 3rd, he participated in the Interactive Dialogue of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) convened by the pro tempore Presidency of Uruguay, with candidates from Latin America and the Caribbean to project the role of the region before the United Nations (UN).
In a publication on his social media accounts, the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs and International Trade, said that Venezuela's participation was instructed by the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez.
“We stress that this process represents an historic opportunity to project the region's role in the United Nations, based on respect for international law,” he said.
He stressed that “while reaffirming that a more united Latin America and the Caribbean will not only strengthen our region, but also the multilateral system as a whole and the role of the United Nations.”
