Venezuela participated in the Forum in Support of the Fight against Modern Practices of Colonialism for the Freedom of Nations, organized by the United Russia Party, held in Moscow, from February 15 to 17.

The event was attended by representatives and activists from more than 70 countries around the world, including Venezuela, according to a press release published on the website of the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs.

He points out that the Venezuelan ambassador to Russia, Jesús Salazar Velásquez, accompanied the members of the national delegation, members of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Jesús Fária, Saúl Ortega and Paola García, during the sectoral deliberations and within the framework of the plenary session.

The debate was opened by the president of the United Russia Party, Dmitry Medvedev, who called for continuing to fight against the actions of the Collective West, which do not hide the intention of subjecting the international community to its interests.

He stressed that the global majority is determined to confront them and preserve their right to self-determination and sovereignty of peoples.

For his part, the head of the Venezuelan delegation, deputy Jesús Faria, sent a message, on behalf of the president of the PSUV, Nicolás Maduro and the People of Venezuela, highlighting the values of Bolivarianism in the permanent struggle against hegemon and the conviction to continue working for the values of equality and freedom in a supportive, multipolar and pluricentric world.
