Venezuela participates in preparatory meeting for the 30th Meeting of the Council of Ministers of the AEC

This Monday, the Preparatory Meeting was held prior to the 30th Ordinary Meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Association of Caribbean States (AEC), with the participation of the Deputy Minister for the Caribbean, Raúl Li Causi.
Li Causi denounced the kidnapping of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, and the first lady Cilia Flores, thanked the solidarity of the region and reaffirmed that spaces for cooperation within our Greater Caribbean are, today more than ever, necessary for the well-being of the region. He also took the opportunity to convey greetings from the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez and Foreign Minister Yván Gil Pinto.
This preparatory meeting included the presentation of the various work agendas and the corresponding management reports of the Special Committees of the Association, ahead of the Meeting of the Council of Ministers, which will be held in the month of June 2026, in Panama.
Venezuela, which holds the Vice Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the Chair of the Special Committee for Disaster Risk Reduction, continues to work together with the member States of the AEC in the development of the cooperation agenda in terms of regional transport, tourism, and disaster risk reduction for the entire region.
