The Minister of Popular Power for Ecosocialism, Josué Lorca, participates in the VI Assembly of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), which takes place in Nirobi, Kenya, where he brought the truth of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
“We have come with the Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy, representing President Nicolás Maduro, to bring the truth about Venezuela and to demand compliance with the environmental commitments of the countries guilty of the climate emergency,” he said through his account on the social network X.
During this day, he reported that he also held a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Environment and Natural Resources of Nicaragua, Heyddy Calderón Palma, in order to work on a work path that would allow for the implementation of prevailing actions in the area of exchange of experience and strengthening ties of cooperation in environmental matters with that Central American country.
As part of these activities, Lorca visited Ngong Elementary School, in Kaijado County, this Wednesday, where he accompanied the head of Ngong County, Ella Wahoo Karah and the Venezuelan ambassador to Kenya, Jesús Manzanilla, to talk about the programs, missions and climate change brigades in Venezuela created in the Bolivarian Revolution.
In addition, together with the teachers, girls and boys of this educational institution, they managed to plant the Warburgia ugandensis tree, a tree with relevant properties that unfortunately is on the red list of threatened species of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
