Venezuela presented three projects at the VI International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Energy Technologies

A Venezuelan delegation composed of technicians from the National Center for Development and Research in Telecommunications Foundation (CENDIT) presented three innovative projects at the VI International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Energy Technologies (ICECET 2026) in Rome, the Minister of Science and Technology, Yván Gil, said.
In a post on his Telegram channel, Gil explained that these projects were selected from more than 1,700 international proposals, of which only 865 were accepted.
“We congratulate the multidisciplinary team, led by Gloria Carvalho, Héctor Núñez and Luis Santos, for their advances in the development of high-bandwidth fiber optic networks, high-efficiency photovoltaic cells and a Geiger counter prototype for measuring ionizing radiation,” said Gil.
In this regard, the minister stressed that these technicians have demonstrated to the international community CENDIT's commitment to technological sovereignty and the country's research and technical capacity to create technological solutions at the service of the people.
