Venezuela seeks to position itself as a highly competitive tourist destination in the global market after a fruitful participation in the most important fairs of the quarter: Anato, in Colombia; ITB in Berlin, Germany and MITT Moscow, Russia, which served to create alliances and new routes.

In this regard, the Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Daniella Cabello, presented a positive balance, highlighting that the country is achieving key agreements to attract foreign investment and international travelers, taking advantage of the diverse natural offer of the national territory.

At the regional level, the main focus was on strengthening the binational corridor with Colombia. Through strategic alliances, the reactivation of charter flights that will directly connect the city of Cali with Margarita Island was confirmed.

This project will begin with a pilot plan in September, reinforced by a familiarization trip (FamTrip) in May. On the other hand, the agenda in Europe and Eurasia left concrete results in terms of infrastructure and connectivity.

At the ITB in Berlin, the Venezuelan delegation promoted a robust investment portfolio for the development of coastal tourism infrastructure.

At the same time, at the MITT in Moscow, links were established with the St. Petersburg Tourism Committee to promote the arrival of Russian tourists through the triangulation of operators and the strengthening of operations with the airline Aeroflot.
