Venezuela presents a wide range of
multi-destination tourism offerings during the 46th edition of the International Tourism Fair (FITUR), held in Madrid, where
it also takes advantage of opportunities to strengthen
cooperation with international tour operators and businessmen.
Within the framework of this fair, the Minister of Popular
Power for Tourism, Leticia Gómez, develops an agenda aimed
at strengthening the National Strategic Plan, with the objective of positioning
Venezuela as a competitive destination in the global market.
In this context, he held a meeting with the commercial
director of the operator Nego, Martha Ramos, with whom co-marketing
projects were addressed to reinforce the promotion of the Venezuelan destination in
the Spanish market, a network that brings together more than 400 travel agencies.
In addition, Gómez met with the president
of the Wyndham hotel chain, Gustavo Viescas, to evaluate
investment opportunities in tourism infrastructure and the expansion of this brand in
different cities of the country.
The agenda included meetings with managers of the airline Air Europa, representatives of the media and industry associations. The Venezuelan delegation will remain at FITUR until January 25, together with operators from the public and private sectors.
