Venezuela receives unwavering support from China for its people's struggle for sovereignty and peace

The Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, held a meeting this Tuesday with the ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Venezuela, Lan Hu, with the aim of further strengthening the strategic alliance between the two countries.

Through his Telegram channel, the Venezuelan diplomat explained that he received a message from Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who reaffirmed “China's unwavering support for the struggle of the Venezuelan people in the defense of our sovereignty and of a Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace”, so declared since 2014 by peoples in the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).

Minister Gil expressed his firm conviction that “together we will achieve the definitive victory: the victory of peace”.

He said that, on behalf of President Nicolás Maduro, Venezuela ratifies the strategic partnership “Under all tests and at all times” with China, which safeguards the sovereignty, cooperation and interests of both nations.
