Venezuela reinforces cooperation agenda with Serbia and Vietnam

The Minister of Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez, held a meeting this Monday with the ambassadors of the Republic of Serbia, Katarina Andric, and of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Vû Trung My, in which cooperation actions were discussed, regarding the military aggression perpetrated by the United States on January 3.
According to a press release, the minister recalled that this attack, contrary to the principles of international law and peaceful coexistence, affected different parts of the Venezuelan capital, as well as the Venezuelan Institute for Scientific Research (IVIC) and the central warehouses of the Venezuelan Social Security Institute (IVSS), located in the state of La Guaira, which protected medical supplies intended for the care of renal patients.
He recalled that both Vietnam and Serbia “throughout their history, have suffered illegal aerial bombing by the United States,” and so he stressed the importance of the exchange of knowledge to address the consequences of recent events.
“Her experience will allow us to responsibly evaluate and deal with the effects of this regrettable episode, which led to the kidnapping of the constitutional president Nicolás Maduro and the First Combatant, Cilia Flores,” said the Sectorial Vice President of Science, Technology, Ecosocialism and Health.
Minister Gabriela Jiménez reiterated the commitment of the Bolivarian Government to deepen its joint work with Vietnam and Serbia in “consulting, managing, studying and evaluating the impacts of these attacks, with special attention to the most affected areas.”
The meeting also evaluated the cooperation agenda that nations maintain with Venezuela in the academic, scientific and biomedical areas, to advance the care of the Venezuelan people.
“On behalf of the President in Charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, we express our gratitude for the support and solidarity provided by both nations in these difficult times, ratifying the bonds of brotherhood, mutual respect and cooperation that unite us,” he concluded.
