This Tuesday, August 13, the Bolivarian Government of Venezuela issued a statement, categorically rejecting the publication of the so-called “Preliminary Report” of the Panel of Electoral Experts of the United Nations (UN).

The information was released by the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, through his account on the social network Telegram, where he published the aforementioned statement.

The letter highlights that this preliminary report “spreads a series of lies, violating in content and method, not only the principles that govern the operation of expert groups, but also the Terms of Reference signed with the Venezuelan Electoral Power.”

He adds that this “represents an absolute reckless act that undermines trust in mechanisms designed for cooperation and technical assistance”.
