The first edition of the LatAm Economic Forum in Spain was the space that represented the reincorporation of Venezuela into the central banking circuit, an international meeting that brought together economic specialists from all over the world between May 7 and 9 at the Castillo de Bará of the Bank of Spain.

At the forum, the president in charge of the Central Bank of Venezuela, Luis Pérez, shared with 14 governors and six sub-governors of central banks in Latin America and Europe, as well as financial supervisors, academics and researchers specialized in monetary policy, according to the specialized press.

The forum focused on the region's economic challenges, in the face of a global context of geopolitical complexity. Venezuela's presence in this space marked a new milestone in the normalization of its relationship with multilateral financial organizations.

During the day, the Venezuelan delegation actively participated in these working groups where four panels were held behind closed doors focusing on key issues for macroeconomic stability: tariffs and geoeconomics, exchange rates and monetary policy, management of capital flows and the impact of trade tariffs on international economies.
