Venezuela says goodbye to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games with 7 Olympic diplomas

The Venezuelan delegation, made up of 33 athletes present at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, says goodbye to the highest event in the sport with 7 Olympic Diplomas.
Among the 10 best in the world were: the men's sword team, Raiber Rodríguez, Rosa Rodríguez, Yohandri Granado, Anyelin Venegas, Keydomar Vallenilla and Naryury Pérez.
The Venezuelan fencing team made up of Gabriel Lugo and the brothers Rubén, Jesús and Francisco Limardo, fell in the quarterfinals against the representation of Japan with a score of 39 to 32, to take seventh place.
For his part, the wrestler Raiber Rodríguez has the first Olympic diploma in Greco-Roman wrestling, in the history of Venezuela at an Olympic Games, after placing fifth in the 60 kg category.
Meanwhile, Yohandri Granado managed to place seventh in the Taekwondo discipline in the -58 kg category.
Rosa Rodríguez came in eighth place in hammer throwing, with a mark of 72.98 meters.
While Joselyn Brea won an Olympic diploma in the 1500m and set a new national record. He placed sixth in the repechage with a time of 4:05:93.
In the Weightlifting discipline, Criollos made themselves felt the most, managing to bring 3 diplomas:
Anyelin Venegas placed fourth in Weightlifting -59kg in her first participation in the sport's top event. It lifted 102 kg at the start, and in envión it lifted 128 km for a total of 230 kg,
Keydomar Vallenilla was in eighth place in Weightlifting — 89 kg. He managed to lift 162 kg at the start and 196 kg at the start, for a total of 358 kg
Naryury Pérez had a start with 114 kg and a package of 145 kg, for a total of 259 kg, to place himself in the eighth place.
With their heads held high, it is now up to the athletes to prepare and adjust details to leave the name of Venezuela at the top in Los Angeles 2028.
