Venezuela seals semifinal qualification for South American Women's Basketball

The Venezuelan women's basketball team comfortably beat the Paraguay quintet 75-57, on the third and final round of group B in the South American Women's Basketball Championship, which is held at the Center for Collective Sports in Chile.

Brazil or Argentina could be Venezuela's rival in this decisive instance, which will depend on how the day ends this Wednesday. This match for the final will be played this coming Thursday, September 5.

In the second quarter, the Guarani women reacted with a 0-6 run, but those led by Eduardo Pinto took the lead to never let go of it again in the commitment, going to the 34-27 break.

Venezuela is in first place in group B with 5 points, after a defeat against Colombia (63-48), a victory against Ecuador (64-47), and now awaits the definition of its next rival.
