A fence of the Venezuelan Orchestra System was lit at the Times Square intersection of New York, going viral, in addition to dazzling tourists, Creoles and New Yorkers, it is considered a historic moment for the country's tricolor.

National and international media highlight that the impressive exhibition not only highlights Venezuela's artistic talent, but also fills the Venezuelan people with pride, at a time when classical music resonates more than ever, thanks to the work that has been done to keep it active generation after generation.

The event coincides with the orchestra's imminent participation in the 2024 Latin Grammys, scheduled for November 14.

At this prestigious ceremony, the orchestra will compete in the category of Best Classical Music Album with its work “Credo”, composed by the talented Fernando Escalona and conducted by the renowned Christian Chávez.

Eduardo Méndez, executive director of El Sistema, spoke about the topic with which they compete in the Latin Grammys. “This is a recognition of the hard work and dedication of all our musicians and the team that works behind every note. Venezuela has a deep musical legacy, and we want the world to hear it,” he said.

“This work has many elements that from the beginning were designed that way to create an experience beyond a concert hall, a masterpiece that will soon be played by all the orchestras in the world, it impacts and impresses from the start,” he emphasized.

The recording of “Credo” took place at the National Center for Social Action for Music in Caracas, an emblematic space that has been fundamental in the training of young musicians in the country.

This project “had the collaboration of outstanding producers, engineers and musicians, who came together to create an album that highlights the sound richness and cultural heritage of Venezuela,” he said.

The viralization of the fence in Times Square and the Latin Grammy nomination are proof that Venezuelan music transcends borders and unites people through harmony and talent.
