Venezuela signs tourism agreements with Türkiye

This Thursday, January 16, with the aim of strengthening relations with the Government of Türkiye, a working meeting was held to discuss issues related to tourism.

The meeting took place in Caracas and was attended by the president of the Center for International Productive Investment (CIIP) and minister of popular power for Industry and National Production, Alex Saab; the Minister of Tourism Leticia Gómez and Miguel Marín, president of VENETUR. Representing the Government of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was his ambassador to Venezuela, Naci Aydan Karamanoglu.

The agreement, which is part of efforts to revitalize Venezuela's tourism sector and promote cultural and economic exchange, aims to facilitate access and promotion of both tourist destinations, taking advantage of each nation's strengths in terms of historical heritage, culture and natural beauty.

This agreement opens up new possibilities to strengthen diplomatic, economic and cultural ties between Venezuela and Türkiye, while positioning both countries as destinations of mutual interest, according to a press release from the CIIP.

Those present discussed issues of friendship and cooperation for the benefit of peoples in order to strengthen ties of cooperation in the form of agreements in tourism and to develop plans and projects throughout the country.
