Venezuela stands in solidarity with Vietnam over floods affecting central and southern regions of the country

The Bolivarian Government of Venezuela, on behalf of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, expresses its solidarity with the People and the Government of Vietnam, for the devastating wave of floods that has affected the central and southern regions of this country.

The information was released by the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, on his account of the social network Telegram, in which he stated that “we want to express our deepest solidarity with the People and Government of Vietnam in these difficult times”.

“We are deeply saddened to learn about the devastating wave of floods that has affected the central and southern regions of the country, resulting in the loss of lives, the destruction of thousands of homes and the suffering of thousands of families,” he said.

The foreign minister also said: “We extend our unconditional support to the rescue and recovery efforts led by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.”

Faced with this regrettable scenario, Gil stressed that “Venezuela is willing to collaborate in whatever is necessary to help mitigate the effects of this tragedy.”

“We are keeping an eye on the current situation and the possible complications that may arise with the arrival of new storms. We reaffirm our commitment to friendship and cooperation between our nations,” he said.
