The Ministry of People's Power for Fisheries and Aquaculture and the Chinese outboard motor manufacturer, Parsun Power Machine, signed a letter of intent in the context of the Fisheries and Seafood Expo 2025, held in Qindao, China. The agreement is aimed at providing high-quality propulsion mechanisms for Venezuelan fishermen's boats.
The Deputy Minister of Fishery and Aquaculture Processing and Distribution, José Gregorio Briceño, expressed his intention to meet the needs of Venezuelan fishermen, together with the incorporation of the Chinese company's lines of technological development, which extend to its capacities, plants, industrialization and mass production.
For his part, the president of the Asian company, Xiaoran Bian, established his goal to “supply high quality engines for Venezuelan fishermen”.
In addition, Venezuelan fisherman Luis Rodríguez explained that he was already using engines from the Chinese brand, and “we have provided them with details to improve, because the engine is not only a work tool, it is also a safety of life that is the one that returns us to the house, and we are the ones who work (...) we live day by day with the engine”. He argued that having better engines would guarantee work effectiveness, greater production and greater food for the Venezuelan people.
