Venezuela strongly condemns terrorist attack in Cauca and stands in solidarity with the people of Colombia

The government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela strongly condemned the atrocious terrorist attack that occurred this Saturday, April 25, in the “El Túnel” sector of the municipality of Cajibío, department of Cauca in Colombia, a fact that constitutes a flagrant violation of the population's right to life and a direct attack on peace.

In a statement, the president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez Gómez, expressed the solidarity of the Venezuelan people with the victims and their families.

“The President in Charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez Gómez, on behalf of the Government and the Venezuelan people, expresses her strongest condemnation of the atrocious terrorist attack perpetrated today, April 25, 2026, in the 'El Túnel' sector of the municipality of Cajibío, on the Pan-American Highway, department of Cauca.

This act of criminal violence, which has taken the lives of innocent citizens and left many injured, constitutes a flagrant violation of the population's right to life and a direct attack on the peace and stability of the sister Republic of Colombia.

We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the fatalities and we express our best wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured.”
