Venezuela thanked Ghana for its strong support in the face of military intervention by the United States

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela thanked him for the strong support of the Republic of Ghana in the face of military intervention, the kidnapping of constitutional president Nicolás Maduro Moros and his wife Cilia Flores, and the unilateral use of U.S. military force against a sovereign nation.

“With Ghana we are united by friendship, solidarity and the fierce defense of our sovereignty and international legality,” said the Foreign Minister through a post on his Telegram channel.

In a statement, the Government of Ghana assured that it is closely following the situation in Venezuela with great concern and notes that such attacks on international law, attempts to occupy foreign territories and apparent external control of oil resources have extremely adverse implications for international stability and global order.

“To allow this is to put the international community at great risk and to undermine the sovereignty of all countries. Ghana, therefore, reaffirms its commitment to the principle of self-determination and maintains the firm opinion that only the Venezuelan people should freely determine their political and democratic future,” the document noted.
