Venezuela thanks China's stance against the instrumentalization of human rights

This Thursday, January 08, the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, thanked the People's Republic of China on behalf of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela for its firm stance in pointing out and rejecting the politicization and instrumentalization of human rights as a pretext for interfering in the internal affairs of other countries

“The Bolivarian Government once again expresses its deep gratitude to the People's Republic of China for its firm stance in pointing out and rejecting the politicization and exploitation of human rights as a pretext for interfering in the internal affairs of other countries,” he said through his Telegram channel.

He also explained that this practice has been used against Venezuela with the objective of discrediting the Bolivarian Government and opening the way to attempts at illegal military aggression against the nation. At the same time, he stressed the importance of China's position in rejecting the violation of international law and of our country's sovereignty, reaffirming the strategic alliance between the two countries in the defense of fundamental principles of mutual respect and self-determination.

He stressed that the Venezuelan people reaffirm their commitment to political and territorial sovereignty over their natural resources.
