The government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela valued and appreciated the statements of the Kremlin official, María Zajárova, who described the atomic threat posed by the United States (USA), off the coast of the South American nation, as unacceptable.

“On behalf of President Nicolás Maduro Moros, we appreciate the firm statement made by the spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, María Zajárova, regarding the recent mobilization of U.S. military vessels in the Caribbean Sea. The presence of nuclear submarines off our shores represents an unacceptable threat to the sovereignty of Venezuela and to peace in our region,” wrote the Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil Pinto on his social network Telegram.

He reiterated that Venezuela has the inalienable right to decide its own destiny without external pressure. “We appreciate the support of Russia, which reaffirms its commitment to the defense of our sovereign principles and our territorial integrity,” he said.

“It is essential that Latin America remain a zone of peace, free from forced interventions and conflicts. International solidarity is key to ensuring a stable and prosperous future for all the peoples of the region,” said the Venezuelan foreign minister.
