Venezuela to host CONMEBOL Evolution Futsal League North Zone 2025 tournament

Venezuela will once again host an international South American futsal event, as it opens its doors to the continent to celebrate the CONMEBOL North Zone Futsal Evolution League 2025. The tournament will take place from November 12 to 16 at the Poliedro de Caracas.

The competition will bring together the U20 and senior teams from Venezuela, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru for five intense days of futsal. With a total of 20 games, 10 per category, and 4 daily matches, the Poliedro will be the stage where promising young and established figures of international futsal will meet.

Among the participating teams, Venezuela stands out as the host country, which will seek to shine after reaching the quarterfinals at the 2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup in Uzbekistan — its best performance ever. Brazil, the reigning world champion, followed by Colombia, with experience in world championships, and the emerging teams of Peru and Ecuador, which always provide exciting duels on the continental level, complete the list of contenders.

The Futsal Evolution League is a tournament promoted by the CONMEBOL Development Department, designed to strengthen and project talent in South American futsal. Through this competition, member countries offer competitive opportunities to both youth teams and senior teams. The North Zone edition, to be held in Venezuela, is complemented by the South Zone, which will take place at the end of October in Luque, Paraguay, with the participation of Bolivia, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay and Chile.

The competition format will be a free-for-all league, in which each team will play matches in the U20 and Absolute categories. The ranking table will be accumulated, considering the combined performance of both categories, and the country that scores the most points at the end of the tournament will be proclaimed the winner of the North Zone. In addition, up to two Under-20 players, in consideration of the coaching staff, may be considered to be part of the Senior National Team in each match, which represents a valuable opportunity for projection for young talents.
