Venezuela transmits solidarity to Nepal over floods

The Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Félix Plasencia González, held a telephone exchange with his counterpart from Nepal, Shishir Khanal, to convey the solidarity of the Venezuelan State after the floods that affected the border area of the Asian country.

“On behalf of the People of Venezuela and of our president Delcy Rodríguez, I transmitted, through a telephone call, our full solidarity (...) on the occasion of the tragic floods that have hit that friendly country,” he said.

He also extended his condolences to the families of the victims and to the Nepalese people in general, as reported by national and international media.

Plasencia stressed that this gesture reinforces the bonds of friendship between the two nations, formally established since April 28, 1987.
