Judges of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) participated in the VII Conference of the Association of Women Electoral Judges of the Americas (AMEA), held in Mexico City.
As reported by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), the Venezuelan delegation was represented by the vice-president of the Electoral Chamber of the Venezuelan Supreme Court, Judge Fanny Márquez Cordero, who presented the Venezuelan electoral process and the mechanisms for filing a contentious appeal before the highest court in the nation.
As a result of Venezuela's participation in this instance, the country was elected as a member of the AMEA Electoral Processes Commission for the period 2025-2026.
AMEA is a non-governmental organization that brings together magistrates and authorities from electoral institutions across the Americas to promote cooperation, information exchange and consultation. In addition, its objectives include promoting more inclusive, representative and equitable democracies in the hemisphere.
