Venezuela will participate in the 38th Bogotá International Book Fair (FILBO) with more than 200 literary novelties, in a commitment to strengthening cultural ties with Colombia and promoting its publishing production.
The country's representation, headed by the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture, will bring together public, private and independent publishers, as well as a delegation of writers who will carry out presentations, conferences and training activities.
Among the authors, figures such as Luis Britto García, Benito Yrady and Mirla Alcibiades stand out, who will share their most recent publications with other exponents of Venezuelan narrative, essay and poetry.
The catalog includes titles of labels such as Monte Ávila Editores Latinoamericana, Biblioteca Ayacucho and The Dog and the Frog, along with proposals from independent publishers that reflect the diversity of the national literary scene.
Venezuelan participation also includes activities such as workshops, talks and book presentations that seek to bring the international public closer to the different currents of thought and literary creation in the country.
The fair will be held from April 21 to May 4 and is one of the most important publishing events in the Spanish-speaking world.
