Venezuela will celebrate 240 years since Francisco de Miranda's arrival in Russia

The Minister of People's Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas, held a meeting with the Russian Federation's ambassador to Venezuela, Sergey Mélik-Bagdasárov, in Caracas, to strengthen cooperation ties between the two countries.

During the meeting, the Russian ambassador expressed his government's willingness to maintain active cooperation with Venezuela in all areas, including cultural cooperation.

Both authorities agreed to frame all of this year's cultural cooperation initiatives in the celebration of the 240th anniversary of the arrival of Generalissimo Francisco de Miranda to Russia.

In addition, the authorities expressed their willingness to renew bilateral cooperation instruments for the benefit of Venezuelan and Russian creators who strengthen strategic ties between the two countries.
