Venezuela will compete in the South American youth volleyball qualifier in Argentina

The under-17 selection will begin the 2026 season at the South American Men's Volleyball Championship, scheduled from January 14 to 18 in Comodoro Rivadavia, Argentina. The tournament will award three places for the World Championship in the category, which will be held in Doha, Qatar, from August 19 to 29.
In the group stage, the Venezuelan team will face the teams of Brazil, Chile, Peru and Argentina, the host country. After an initial break, the team will begin its participation with the following schedule (Venezuelan time):
Thursday 15: versus Brazil, 5:30 p.m.
· Friday 16: versus Argentina, 7:30 p.m.
· Saturday 17: versus Peru, 7:30 p.m.
· Sunday 18: versus Chile, 11:00 a.m.
This competition marks the beginning of the international network sports agenda for the country in 2026, which will include commitments in the Bolivarian, South American Youth, Central American and Caribbean Games , in addition to the Pan American Cups. As far as beach volleyball is concerned, the South American Circuit, the Norecca Tour and the qualifications for the Youth Olympic Games are planned.
The federation, led by José Vásquez, is carrying out the project “For the Love of Volleyball”, which in its second year of application aims to optimize performance through planned management, specialized technical equipment and periods of continuous preparation for athletes.
