The Venezuelan Kickboxing Federation announced the holding of the first edition of the 2024 National Beach Kickboxing Championship this Saturday, September 21. This activity will take place in Playa Surfista, La Guaira state, within the framework of World Beach Day.

The event will be supported by the World Association Kickboxing Organization (WAKO) Venezuela and its main objective is to show technical, organizational and security elements, in order to generate future proposals for inclusion in South American, Central American and world cup cycles, with the rest of the beach disciplines, being part of the strategic planning of the Pan-American Kickboxing Confederation.

Through information provided by the Ministry of People's Power for Sports, this beach championship will be the return of the discipline just under a year ago. Venezuelan kickboxing comes from participating in the cadet and junior world championship, which took place from August 23 to September 2, in Budapest, Hungary, where the national team ranked 48th out of 87 participating countries, with a total of two silver and four bronze medals.
