Venezuela will participate for the first time in the Qingdao International Seafood and Fish Fair

The presence of Venezuela at this fair, which is held at the Qingdao International Exhibition and Convention Center, highlights the enormous potential of its seafood, fisheries and aquaculture products, and that it is currently the second largest currency generator in the national economy, second only to oil, with shrimp being the main exported product.

Venezuela joins world powers such as Japan, Russia and Peru in exhibiting its products to vast buyers in the People's Republic of China.

The Venezuelan delegation present at the fair is made up of representatives of the Bolivarian Government, fishermen organized through communes and private companies.

The market is incalculable, with more than 1.4 billion inhabitants and represents a colossal opportunity. If Venezuela manages to capture at least 1% of the Chinese market, that would represent about 14 million buyers.

It should be noted that Venezuela is one of the seven countries in the world that has the capacity to freely sell all their marine species in China, a recent achievement obtained after intense negotiations.
