In the spaces of the Embassy of Mexico in Bolivia, the press conference of the Cultural Group of Latin America and the Caribbean (GRULAC Cultural) was held, at which the twentieth Latin American and Caribbean film festival was presented.
According to information from Venezolana de Televisión, this film event will take place from November 14 to 23 and is organized with the Bolivian Cinemateca. This year, the presidency of GRULAC is in charge of Venezuela.
The Venezuelan ambassador to Bolivia and president of Grulac Cultural 2024, César Trómpia, expressed his joy at reaching the 20th anniversary of the film festival. “It's a collective effort that shows the identity, image and sound of Our America,” he said.
This year's festival will offer a rich diversity of perspectives and narratives through films that address aspects of Latin American and Caribbean culture. Each participant presented the synopsis of their film, offering a preview of the profound stories that will be screened during the film meeting.
The conference was attended by diplomatic representatives from ten countries, including ambassadors, heads of mission and consuls. The diversity of voices present underlined the importance of this film festival, which seeks to highlight the cultural richness of the region.
The meeting also served as a platform to announce and promote the festival's activities, which include a photographic exhibition entitled “Our People, Our Culture”.
