Venezuela wins gold and bronze at the Cybersecurity Olympiad

Young Venezuelans Axel Hernández Malavé and Jesús Aguirre Vásquez won the gold and bronze medals, respectively, in the Junior International Cybersecurity Olympiad, a competition in which students from 40 countries participated, according to the Ministry of Popular Power for Science and Technology, Yván Gil.
Gil specified, through his Telegram account, that both successfully completed the tests, in which they demonstrated their knowledge in cryptography, network fundamentals, Network Teaming and computer forensics, as part of the representation of the country's scientific hotbeds.
He indicated that the Olympiad grants a certificate endorsed by the National Laboratory for Cybersecurity Research and Development (NCL) and the National University of Singapore (NUS), a credential that can open up new academic opportunities for the most outstanding students.
He added that, with these results, the Venezuelan genius generation confirms its readiness to provide solutions in science, technology and innovation, according to the Ministry of People's Power for Science and Technology.
