Venezuela wins silver in a 4×100 freestyle relay at the IV South American Youth Games

The Venezuelan 4×100 meter freestyle relay team achieved outstanding participation in the IV South American Youth Games by winning the silver medal in Panamanian territory. The national quartet, made up of the flag bearer Dennis Pérez together with Ana Verde, Paula Hernández and Juan Gómez, stopped the stopwatch at a time of 3:39.04 minutes. With this mark, the Venezuelan athletes secured second place on the podium, in a close competition where the Argentine delegation won the gold (3:33.82) and the Colombian team completed the podium with bronze (3:46.07).
After the award ceremony, swimmer Dennis Pérez expressed the team's satisfaction with this international achievement, highlighting the commitment of the relay generation to the national sport. The flag bearer described this triumph as “a great joy” and dedicated the silver medal to the entire Venezuelan people, stressing the importance of keeping the tricolor flag at the top of regional swimming.
