Venezuela women's under-17 debuted with a 58-54 victory over Chile in South American

The Venezuelan women's under-17 basketball team opened with a 58-54 victory over Chile, in the match that marked the start of the actions of group B of the South American Championship of the discipline held at the Cop Arena gymnasium in the city of Asunción, in Paraguay.
Technical director Luz Vargas jumped to the stage with a quintet composed of Greidysmar Camacaro, Albanys Ramírez, Alexandra Cabeza, Astrid Inojosa and Estefani Pérez.
The first two quarters went to the Chilean women with scores of 17-12 and 18-5, but the Venezuelan women grew in the second half to dominate the third and final quarter 15-10 and 19-9.
The guard Astrid Inojosa led the national offensive with 24 points, four rebounds and seven steals on the defensive plane, followed by the contribution of Greidysmar Camacaro, Albanys Ramírez and Alexandra Ramírez, who added nine points for the guard and seven points for the power forward and the forward, respectively.
This victory places the youth team in first place in group B above Chile, Colombia and Paraguay, while Argentina leads A with a record of winning pairs, followed by Brazil (1-1), Ecuador (1-0), Bolivia (0-2) and Uruguay (0-1).
Venezuela will return to action this Thursday when it faces the Colombian national team starting at 4:30 in the afternoon. The day will be completed with the previous clashes between Ecuador and Uruguay (11:30 a.m.) and Bolivia and Argentina (2:00 p.m.) to close with Chile and Paraguay (7:00 p.m.).
