The ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela concurring from the Republic of Benin, Jesús Alberto García, presented the Credentials to the President of the Togolese Republic, Jean-Lucien Kwassi Lanyo Savi de Tové, in a protocol ceremony held at the headquarters of the Government Palace.

The authorities expressed their gratitude for the strengthening of mutual cooperation for the benefit of both sister peoples.

Ambassador García expressed the will of the Bolivarian Government, led by President Nicolás Maduro Moros, to specify the cooperation mechanisms that are necessary in the political, cultural, social, commercial and geopolitical spheres, among others, to allow both governments, through the diplomacy of the peoples, to be further strengthened, within the framework of multilateral forums, in order to promote peace and stability in the world.

The diplomat thanked, on behalf of the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil Pinto, and the Venezuelan people, for the support received at the plenary meeting of the United Nations General Assembly, held in New York on June 16, for the elimination of the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the government of the United States (USA) and countries of the European Union against Venezuela .
