The Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil, held a telephone conversation this Wednesday with his Brazilian counterpart, Mauro Vieira, regarding the threats of the United States (USA) against Latin America and the Caribbean.

“In our conversation, I explained in detail the plans of aggression faced by Venezuela and all of Latin America and the Caribbean, with the presence of military vessels and even a nuclear submarine, in open violation of the Zone of Peace proclaimed by CELAC in 2014 and the Tlatelolco Treaty of 1967, a threat never seen before in our region,” the Venezuelan diplomat explained through his Telegram channel.

Both authorities agreed “that these aggressions must be stopped immediately”, so Venezuela has taken multiple actions in defense of sovereignty.

Gil indicated that his Brazilian counterpart also shared the situation faced by the South American giant “in the face of tariff measures and wars applied for political purposes, a form of unjustified aggression that does not contribute to the spirit of peace and cooperation that we defend in Latin America and the Caribbean.”
