Venezuelan and Iranian foreign ministers reaffirm commitment to a new world order

The Venezuelan Foreign Minister, Yván Gil, met this Tuesday in Geneva, Switzerland, with the Foreign Minister of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, reiterating his commitment to the new world order and strengthening the bonds of friendship between the two nations.
“The new world order that is being born is based on solidarity, justice, respect for the Charter of the United Nations, respect for human rights, and Iran and Venezuela are committed to this,” said the Venezuelan foreign minister.
According to the Telesur portal , the meeting between foreign ministers took place within the framework of the 55th session of the Human Rights Council of the United Nations (UN), in Switzerland.
In statements to the media, the Venezuelan foreign minister highlighted the progress in trade systems with Tehran, which will make it possible to strengthen the economic systems of both nations in the context of hostilities on the part of the United States and its international allies, making the BRICS a possibility in the execution of this objective.
He also reported that Venezuela is close to being part of the BRICS, an instrument that protects emerging economies and a means to break the criminal and colonial blockade imposed by the West.
