Venezuelan and Russian foreign ministers strengthen bilateral friendly relations

The Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil, held a meeting with his counterpart from the Russian Federation, Sergei Lavrov, regarding the Antalya Diplomatic Forum in Türkiye, the spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said.
In statements replicated by Venezolana de Televisión, Zajárova said that this meeting represents a sign of the deepening of bilateral relations and friendship between the two nations.
“Russian-Venezuelan conversations in Türkiye,” the official wrote in posting a photo of the ministers shaking hands before the meeting. This international forum is organized by the Ministry of Türkiye Affairs under the auspices of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
On March 14, Venezuela and Russia celebrated 80 years of strategic bilateral relations based on a solid foundation of coincidental positions on the fundamental issues of the emerging polycentric world order and on the consolidation of commercial, economic and cultural ties.
