The Venezuelan Technical Directors, Rafael Dudamel of Atlético Bucaramanga and César Farías of América de Cali, are on their way to the final home run of the Opening Tournament of the First Division of Colombia and are firm candidates to win the title.

Bucaramanga under Dudamel completed 16 undefeated dates and five consecutive wins, after recently beating Deportivo Cali 2-1 to take the lead in the Colombian tournament.

For its part, América de Cali del Farías, who did not have a good start to the season, has managed to consolidate its position in the qualifying positions at home, after beating Junior de Barranquilla 4-1.

After the game, Farías praised his compatriot Dudamel after the victory over Deportivo Cali, “I want to congratulate him because today he demonstrated integrity, values and although his heart belongs to an institution where he was champion as a player, as a coach he did what a professional should do, and that speaks well of Colombian football, of him as a professional, as a human being, the Bucaramanga players also speak well and that is empowering and one must recognize it.”
