Venezuelan coffee has begun its formal incursion into the Southeast Asian market after its presentation at the Singapore Experience event, a commercial promotion platform held in the Republic of Singapore.
The Venezuelan delegation, made up of producers and representatives of the coffee sector, presented the technical peculiarities and the cup profiles of beans cultivated in the mountainous regions of the South American country, according to the Embassy of Singapore.
During the meeting, communication channels were established with importers, baristas and local distributors interested in traceability and processing methods for the sector.
The strategy of entering this market responds to an export diversification plan that seeks to position the product in high-demand logistics nodes. Singapore, due to its geographical location and its status as a financial center, represents an entry point for the distribution of specialty coffee to other nations in the region.
Those attending the technical conference evaluated the samples presented, highlighting the sensory notes that derive from the climatic conditions and the altitude of Venezuelan cultivation areas. These bilateral meetings are part of an agenda of trade missions aimed at increasing the volume of foreign transactions and strengthening the presence of domestic agricultural products in the Asian continent.
The participation in the “Singapore Experience” concluded with the signing of preliminary agreements of intent to purchase and the establishment of a shipping schedule for additional samples, marking a new phase in the commercial exchange between Caracas and the city-state.
