Venezuelan Comptroller's Office is trained in auditing with a focus on gender equality

Officials from the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic (CGR) participated in the training webinar of the Coordinated Audit on Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) number 5, organized by the Latin American and Caribbean Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (OLACEFS).
The day was aimed at training the members of the auditing teams of the Supreme Audit Institutions (EFS) participating in this coordinated audit with respect to SDG 5: “Achieving gender equality and empowering all women and girls”, CRG press reports.
During the webinar, auditing methodologies with a gender focus, public policy monitoring mechanisms, and strategies to strengthen accountability for inclusion and equity were addressed. The virtual meeting was led by the General Audit Office (AGN) of the Argentine Republic, in its role as president of the CGID.
The comptroller highlighted the importance of these spaces for international cooperation as key tools for institutional strengthening and the promotion of more egalitarian societies in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The Venezuelan Comptroller's Office assigned officials attached to its Directorate of International Affairs to participate in this conference, and it also had the inter-institutional support of the General Directorate of Control of the Decentralized National Administration and the General Directorate of Control of National Public Powers.
