The Venezuelan cycling delegation, with hearing impairment, climbed the hills of Izu-Shu, Shizuoka to leave a good impression in the 25-kilometer time trial, at the Tokyo 2025 Deaf Olympic Games.
The men's category opened the day with a demanding 25-kilometer circuit, in which Junior Jiménez stopped the stopwatch in 44 minutes, 32 seconds and 44 thousandths to place 12th in the general standings, according to a press release from the Ministry of Sport.
For his part, Luis Mendoza left a record of 48:18.07 reaching position 27, while Ronal Blanco finished with 49:16:59 and square 31 of the contest.
Meanwhile, in the women's category, Ludy Correa completed 15 kilometers of her race in 34 minutes, 10 seconds and 10 thousandths at a speed of 26.3 kilometers per hour, to place herself in position 17.
This component has one last chance to win a medal in the road race that will take place this Friday, November 21 at 8:00 p.m. (Venezuela time), which will be 100 km for the men's category and 50 km for the women's category.
