The Venezuelan David de Ornelas, a skilled 16-year-old winger, made his debut with HamKam of the Norwegian Top Division, entering in the 79th minute of his team's victory against Lillehammer FK (2-0) in the First Round of the Norwegian Cup.
In this way, he begins his journey at the highest level in Europe and it is expected that he can continue to have minutes throughout the season.
It should be noted that the dual national attacker (son of former Vinotinto Fernando de Ornelas), has already had international experience with his two national teams: Norway and Venezuela. He has recently participated with the European team with the Under-16 and Under-17.
With Vinotinto, he saw minutes in Oswaldo Vizcarrondo's U-15 and U-17 in 2024. For the time being, David de Ornelas is still deciding which country he will represent permanently, but in 2025, Norway has taken advantage of Venezuela, leaving it to qualify for the European Championship in the category.
With the move of the Vinotinto U-17 to the World Cup in Qatar, Vizcarrondo's coaching staff could call him up and reinforce the squad. The former Venezuelan defender is well aware of the virtues of the young Venezuelan, who has the versatility to occupy several positions: winger and left back.
