Venezuelan delegation advances in the 2024 International Open Astronomy Olympics

The Venezuelan delegation is making headway in the Open World Astronomy Olympics (OWAO) 2024, from the headquarters of CANTV, where the competition takes place online in connection with the main venue of the event, in the city of Sochi, Russia.
In this regard, the leader of the delegation, Abraham Pisani, explained that the test on the second day consisted of the observation and analysis of astronomical data.
The Creoles carried out practical observations and analysis of planets, stars and galaxies, using computers, in a test that lasted five hours and allowed breaks in accordance with regulations, according to a note from the Ministry of People's Power for Science and Technology (MINCYT).
As for the practical test on the first day, Pisani indicated that they are waiting for the results, which will be announced on the last day of the competition.
The Venezuelan team, made up of six outstanding young people in science and technology, remains animated and focused on demonstrating their abilities.
The OWAO is a competition that brings together world-renowned specialists and young astronomers, to promote the exchange of knowledge and the development of skills in the field of astronomy.
