Venezuelan delegation visits Port of Singapore to strengthen international cooperation ties

The objective is to promote the exchange of knowledge in port matters between the two countries

The Venezuelan Embassy in Singapore organized a tour of the facilities of the company PSA International PTE LTD, the company operating the Port of Singapore, in connection with the visit of the president of the National Institute of Aquatic Spaces (INEA), Germán Gómez Larez, to this Southeast Asian country.

In a press release, published by the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry on its website, it states that Gómez Larez traveled to Singapore on the occasion of the first General Assembly of the International Organization for Maritime Navigation Aid (IALA).

The Venezuelan delegation toured the Port of Singapore and its Innovation Gallery in order to strengthen ties of international cooperation.

In addition to encouraging the exchange of knowledge in port matters between the two countries, they learned about the operation of this port, considered a fundamental axis for the global economy and a model of operational efficiency.

It also highlights that the technological innovation and sustainability efforts that the company PSA International PTE LTD has implemented in its objective of optimizing its processes and the task of minimizing environmental impact were explored.

This meeting also demonstrated the progress made by the Bolivarian Government in implementing new regulations and improvements in port operations, in order to consolidate both the efficiency and safety of commercial and transport activities.

The commitment to the development of maritime and port infrastructure was also announced.
