The Group of Heads of Mission of Latin America and the Caribbean (GRULAC) accredited to the Republic of India held its first meeting this year.
Among those present, the Venezuelan ambassador, Capaya Rodríguez, took the opportunity to review the pending issues on the agenda raised by the bodies of the Indian Government, which includes political meetings, trade fairs and cultural activities in which the countries of the region hope to actively participate, as well as to develop proposals.
In addition, Latin American and Caribbean diplomats welcomed the newly appointed ambassadors of the Republic of Cuba and the Republic of Panama, Juan Carlos Marsán Aguilera and Alonso Correa, respectively. The diplomats agreed to act in a coordinated manner on those issues on which the nations of the area share opinions.
In this regard, Venezuelan Ambassador Rodríguez expressed her willingness to cooperate in solidarity with the new heads of mission to the extent possible, an opinion shared by the other ambassadors and business managers present.
The meeting took place in a pleasant and cordial atmosphere, which anticipates the diplomatic day of 2025, which presents important challenges for Latin America and the Caribbean in India, one of the emerging powers whose presence is observed with the greatest interest on the world stage, and a nation with which Venezuela maintains excellent relations.
